Tree Lighting Weekend

December 5th
Kick off the season at Solvang Park during the Julefest Tree Lighting Ceremony. From 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, enjoy performances by the Santa Ynez Valley Wind Ensemble, Fossemalle Dance Studio ballerinas, music by The Voice Studio, and joyful caroling, all culminating in a dazzling park-wide light show with the tree lighting at approximately 6:30 PM.

Solvang Julefest Parade

December 6th
More than 400 participants and 50+ floats will bring Solvang’s streets to life during the annual Julefest Parade, starting at 11:00 AM. Marching bands, horses, vintage cars, and Santa himself make this morning unforgettable. This year’s parade theme is Nordic Noel!

Maker’s Market

Wednesdays, December 3rd, 10th, 17th
Discover one-of-a-kind gifts at the Julefest Maker’s Market, inspired by classic European night markets. Browse handmade crafts, local art, and festive treats under twinkling lights in Solvang Park from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Rain or shine!

Christmas Matters Holiday Carolers

Saturdays November 29th, December 6th, 13th, and 20th
The sound of the season fills the air as the Christmas Matters Carolers stroll downtown singing beloved holiday classics each Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (weather permitting). Experience the warmth of live carols in Solvang’s storybook setting.

Hygge Holiday Candlelight Tour
Join a magical evening stroll through Solvang’s sparkling streets, led by a cheerful local guide in storybook Danish attire.

Special Fairy Tale Candlelight Tour
Step into a real-life storybook on this enchanting evening tour. Along the way, learn about the beloved tales of Hans Christian Andersen, from The Little Mermaid to The Snow Queen, and meet the Snow Queen herself for photos and festive fun.

Jul Daylight Tour: Solvang’s Merry Morning Walk
Start your day Danish-style with a cozy 10:00 AM morning walk through Solvang’s lively streets.

Light & Music Show
November 28th, 2025 through January 4th, 2026. Every evening during Solvang Julefest, Solvang Park will come alive with all that sparkles and shines! Enjoy a 10-minute light show on the hour each night at 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. This year, the show will be complete with snow flurries for even more magic.

Nisser Adventure
November 28th, 2025 through January 4th, 2026. Join in on the city-wide hunt for the mischievous Solvang Nisser (Danish for "gnome")! All Julefest long, pop into the Solvang Visitor Center for a list of clues to the various hiding spots the Nisser frequents.

Santa’s Village will open on Saturday, November 29th and will be open every Saturday and Sunday November 29th, 30th and December 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, and 21st, 2025 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Come on out and meet Mr. Claus with Christmas lists at the ready!
