The SYV Touch-A-Truck event offers local businesses and organizations the opportunity to sponsor our unique, family friendly, one-day experience. The SYV Touch-A-Truck allows kids of all ages to climb on and sit in, honk horns and turn on sirens, and learn about how these wide range of trucks, construction equipment, and military & public safety vehicles operate from those within our community. All proceeds from sponsors and this event support Bethania Preschool & Afterschool and will directly go to enhance, update and enrich the outdoor programs for all the students.

Big wheels, flashing lights, honking horns and sitting in the driver’s seat – what more could a kid want? The 6th Annual SYV Touch-A-Truck event is sure to be all that and more! This family friendly event on Saturday, May 6th from 10am-1:00pm welcomes kids of all ages to enjoy a day of activities benefiting the Bethania Preschool & Afterschool programs in Solvang. SYV Touch-A-Truck is a unique experience that gives kids, and kids at heart, the opportunity to climb on, learn about and explore all kinds of vehicles. The day will feature farming and construction equipment, safety, military and specialty vehicles, all with the community members that operate them each day and are ready to share their experiences and knowledge. In addition to the dozens of trucks of all kinds, activities include face painting by Prismatic Body Art, bounce house, food concessions and more. SYV Touch-A-Truck is an admission of $5 per person, $20 for a family of 5, and held from 10am-1:00pm, with no horn hour for sensitive ears from 10:00-11:00am, at Bethania Lutheran Church grounds, 611 Atterdag Road, Solvang, CA 93463. Bethania Preschool & Afterschool in Solvang was founded in 1987 and offers a year- round, state-licensed, non-denominational educational program for 2-5 year olds, and afterschool program for grades K-6. The teaching staff works with parents to meet with each child’s cognitive, emotional, social, spiritual and physical developmental needs.
