The Wildling Museum, where art and nature meet, offers visitors a unique perspective on the importance of preserving our natural heritage.
Besides artful temporary exhibitions that celebrate nature both near and far, the Wildling permanently offers a look at local nature through a large wall mural of our magnificent Valley oak trees, surrounded by the wildlife found near them. Enjoy hands-on art and craft activities for the whole family, all part of your admission. Children 17 and under are always free!
The Wildling Museum of Art & Nature will open its third juried exhibition showcasing California’s nine national parks, on September 23, 2023. Running through February 19, 2024, California National Parks: Stories of Water will feature 37 artists and 39 selected artworks juried from a pool of more than 240 submissions by artists across the U.S. The exhibition explores various impacts of water – or its lack – in California’s national parks through a wide range of media and techniques, from acrylic, oil, and watercolor paintings, to photography, mixed media, and textile art. A public opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
